A Day at the Stockyards
One Sunday a couple of months back we got out of church and it was an absolutely beautiful day so we decided to take advantage and took a short trip over to Fort Worth for the stockshow. We headed down to the stockyards (only to find out that the stockshow actually takes place at the Will Rogers Colliseum in town). While down at the stockyards we did a little walking and happened into this great boot store. Well, with Jake being from Texas and all of 20 months old we thought it necesary to purchase his first pair of boots. I know they don't really go with the outfit, but they were cute and loved the sound they made on the wood floor when he walked. Luckily for us they had a western day at preschool last week so he acutally got some use out of them and really liked them (he wouldn't let me take them off when he got home that afternoon).
So here's a picture of him dressed up for western day at school complete with John Deere pants and his shiny new boots:

OK. I figured it out. I will get you a web cam for your laptop and one for mine. I can call you from work all Summer and see the baby, the cowboy and mommy. Can't wait and I'm saving up my vacation time. Love you!
So sweet! And he can pass down the boots to little brother when he outgrows them!
