Staycation '09
We took the boys on a little "staycation" and stayed 2 nights at the Gaylord in Grapevine. Acres of trails, trains, and waterfalls were wonderful. A few moments from the trip in words and pictures are below.
1. After Jake went through the revolving door at the entrance he said, "dat amazing!"
2. As soon as we opened the door to our room Jake started taking his shoes off. When I asked why he looked at me like I was crazy and said, "To jump on the bed Mamma."
3. The model trains set up through out the hotel delighted the boys everytime we walked by. Luke would start working his arms like a train each time a new one went by.
4. We had the best view in the house. A cement truck was pulled up outside of our window and they proceeded to hook up hoses to it and run them down one of the hallways in the hotel and out into the atrium where they were pouring concrete for a deck. Jake chose to watch this as opposed to going to the pool with Luke and I.
5. Ice cream at 9:00 at night at a hotel resturaunt is ALWAYS a good idea.
All of the boys got ice for our room while mommy unpacked. Of course they had to partake when they got it back to the room.
Jake and Luke breaking in the beds upon arrival:
My little sharks were dressed and ready for the pool.
Luke found a cruiser in the toystore at the hotel.
Why not go to Chuck E Cheese when on vacation?
Luke caught a shark at Bass Pro Shops.
Daddy taught Jake the appropriate technique.
Back at the hotel the boys were waiting on the next train to roll by.
All aboard at the Fort Worth Zoo.
